The Outcome
is Often Shaped
by Our Outlook!
Our outlook flows from
our attitudes and
our thoughts.
Our attitudes and thoughts
should be impacted
by our beliefs and faith
in Jesus!
A. We Have A
“Critical Choice”
to make as we
choose how we think!
“Our mind has an average
of 60,000 thoughts daily;
80% are negative
95% are repetitive
National Science Foundation 2005
Over 70 studies have
shown the positive power
of gratitude, hope, joy
and peace!
It has been medically
proven that the spiritual
gifts of hope, joy, and
peace lowers depression,
blood pressure, relieves
stress, and improves sleep.
Our trust in Jesus should
inspire a faithful response,
by power of Holy Spirit, of
hope, joy and peace within
our daily lives!
Acts 16: 16 -31
Paul and Silas’s experience
within inner jail;
“midnight they were
praying and singing
hymns!”
B. Our Relationship with
Jesus inspires a
‘thought life’
that should enhance our
hope, joy and peace!
Romans 12:2 speaks about
the renewal of our minds:
“minds transformed,
changed, renovated
by power of Holy Spirit”
In the life of a believer the
Holy Spirit is at ‘work’
challenging, molding,
shaping our thoughts!
Here is a biblical truth:
Jesus has given us the
ability to choose healthy
and uplifting thoughts,
which inspire hope,
joy and peace.
The Holy Spirit enables us
to refocus our mind from
negative thinking to
thoughts of hope, joy,
peace and victory when we
choose to believe and
trust in Him.
C. We cannot spiritually
defeat what we
are unwilling to
confess and identify!
As we choose to allow our
minds to be renewed, we
must identity and confess
thoughts that cause us
hurt, anxiety,
discouragement and
depression.
“Your thoughts become your
beliefs,
Your beliefs become your truth,
Your truth becomes your story,
Your story becomes your reality.”
You are not able to change
your past.
You may not be able to
change your
circumstances.
But you are able to change
how you think!
Is my reality, my story, in
alignment with His Word?
What thoughts do I need to
challenge and stop thinking?
“Jesus, I confess thoughts
contrary to Your will. I seek
Your help with the renewal of
my mind. I believe in You I can
overcome harmful attitudes.
Jesus, I yield to You, and trust in
Your healing power within my
mind.”
