Video Testimonials

The United Methodist Church has developed a multimedia campaign within each annual conference entitled #BeUMC. I thought that this additional information might be helpful for some people in their discernment process. I am including the link for that campaign on the North Carolina Conference webpage. The Video Testimonials might be a particularly good place for you to start.

Information on the Global Methodist Church

Keith Boyette, GMC Presiding Transitional Officer
Informational Meeting Excitement
Wonderful Turnout for GMC Information

An exceptional gathering the evening of July 31, 2022 at Trinity UMC, Jacksonville NC with the Rev Keith Boyette, Chief Executiive officer of the new Global Methodist Church. We had over 250 people in attendance representing churches as far as three hours away.

We were so blessed with Keith's presence! We had a fresh wind of the Holy Spirit anointing upon us. We are greatful for our time together and for the birth of the Global Methodist Church.

IN THIS TIME OF TRANSITION
May We Reflect on God's Goodness

Please pause and reflect on the awesome glory of the Lord Jesus we worship.  Let us seek the anointing of the Holy Spirit upon all of us and the process and give Him thanks for our incredible history (within the UMC denomination and our own personal walk with Him), and for our vision of what is to come--for His glory and the spiritual well-being of those we are called to serve.   We are humbly reminded of these passages of Scripture: “Be strong and courageous.  Do not be afraid or terrified…for the Lord your God goes with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you”  (Deuteronomy 31: 6-8) and Jesus words to the disciples, “Overhearing what they said, Jesus told him, ‘Don’t be afraid; just believe”  (Mark 5:36)   For such a time as this may we proceed with a spirit of patience, no bitterness or strife, compassion, and in the power of His love, always giving thanks to Him for the opportunity to share His Word in the hopes of the transformation of souls for the Church of Jesus Christ, the Lord of Lords, and the King of Kings!

United Methodist - Global Methodist Information
Welcome to our information Page

Below you will find information about the process to disaffiliate from the United Methodist Church and transition to the Global Methodist.  While seperation is always difficult and our hearts hurt at having to do this, we feel that this is our last resort.  We are all Methodist. This process allows us to continue to align with all of our current values and doctrine.  We will continue to hold true to our Weslyan roots and the doctrine we currently adhere to.  The Global Methodist Church will more align with what we have all believed it means to be Methodist.

Below is also a checklist for local churches.

We want to ensure the information is readily available.  Please feel free to share with your family and friends.
