Matthew 28:16-20 

16 Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. 17 When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. 18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” NIV

Matthew 7:24-29 

24 “Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat 

against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. 26 But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. 27 The 

rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.” 

28 When Jesus had finished saying these things, the crowds were amazed at his teaching, 29 because he taught as one who had authority, and not as their teachers of the law.

  1. Beatitudes-Foundational Attitudes-Then specifics: 
  2. You are the light and flavor of the world-shine and taste good! 
  3. God’s Word will last and apply until it is completed and time ends. 
  4. Our lives are judged by how well we reflect & advance God’s Word. 
  5. Anger toward your brother = murder. 
  6. If you wronged/offended someone, make it right before you worship. 
  7. Lustful thoughts = adultery. 
  8. Divorce is disallowed except for unfaithfulness. 
  9. Be honest without using gimmicks or deception. 
  10. Don’t fight with people who insult you, be kind instead. 
  11. Love and pray for people who hate you. Be like God. 
  12. Humbly, give to the needy and pray. You need to do both. 
  13. Pray simply and forgive or you will not be forgiven. 
  14. Fast to please God and not to impress others. 
  15. Don’t make your focus the accumulation of material goods. 
  16. Use material goods to accumulate eternal/spiritual treasures. 
  17. Don’t worry about your needs here on planet earth. 
  18. Make your 1st priority to seek God and his Kingdom and live like Jesus. Everything else will fall into place. 
  19. Clean up your own soul first, then, God wants you to help others to get clean. 
  20. Always pursue God. He really wants to be close(Holy Spirit) to you. 
  21. Treat others the way you want to be treated. 
  22. Not many people follow the teachings of Jesus to the Father. 
  23. Lots of people fake Godliness and they will try to deceive/trick you. 
  24. If people produce fruit like Jesus, you know you can trust them. 
  25. Only the words/teachings of Jesus bring stable real life that can not be shaken. 
  1. A disciple obeys all the teachings of Jesus.
  2. Spiritual Disciplines are tools God uses to cleanse our hearts.
  3. The rewards of God are invisible but close and last forever!
